Questions & answers

Consultations, deposits, who treats you, how your information is handled, and the small print. Nothing here is medical advice; bring the medical questions to your consultation.

Booking

What should I book first?

A Medical consultation at the clinic, or the free 15-minute Virtual consultation if you'd like to find out whether a visit is worth your time. Laser, light and skin treatments can be booked directly; prescription treatments can only be carried out after a consultation.

Can I book a prescription treatment without a consultation?

You can select one, but we won't carry it out without a prescriber's assessment. If you haven't had a consultation with us in the last 12 months, we'll convert the booking to a consultation and let you know by email. The form asks you this so we can spot it early.

Can I choose my provider?

Every booking is with a named provider and the confirmation says who. If you'd prefer someone in particular, write it in the scheduling notes. If your provider books a day off, your appointment moves to a colleague with the same designation and we email you first.

How far ahead can I book?

Up to four months ahead, and at least 3 hours before the appointment.

Consultations

What happens at a consultation?

Thirty minutes with a nurse practitioner or registered nurse: your history, your goals, what's realistic, what it costs, and the secure intake and consent forms. For prescription treatments, the prescriber's assessment and directive are done here. You leave with a plan, or with the honest answer that a treatment isn't right for you.

Why is the consultation $50 when some clinics are free?

Because it's the appointment most often missed, and a missed one costs a nurse half an hour. The $50 is paid to book and comes off your first treatment. The video consultation and the physician review are free.

Can I see the physician?

Yes — book a Physician review with Dr. Maya Chen, MD, CCFP, our medical director, on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday. It's free, at the clinic or by video.

Deposits & paying

How much is the deposit?

The medical consultation is $50, paid in full to book. Treatments take 50%, and the rest — less your consultation fee — is paid at the clinic. Free consultations need nothing.

How do I pay?

By Interac e-Transfer to the email address in your booking email, which takes 3% off the whole appointment, or by card with the Pay by card button (it confirms straight away). For e-Transfers, write your booking code — it looks like AU-7K3QX — in the message so we can match it automatically.

When is the deposit due?

Within 24 hours of booking, or 2 hours before the appointment if that's sooner. If it hasn't arrived by then, the time is released.

Do you accept tips?

No. Nurses should not solicit or accept tips, and we've switched them off for everyone at the clinic.

Providers

Who does what?

Consultations and prescription treatments: Priyanka Rao, NP, and Jordan Lee, RN, under the medical director's directive. Laser, light and skin treatments: Amara Osei, medical aesthetician. Physician reviews and medical direction: Dr. Maya Chen, MD, CCFP. Every card on the providers page shows the full name, designation and role.

Can I check a provider's registration?

Yes. Nurses are listed on the College of Nurses of Ontario's public register and physicians on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's. Ask us and we'll point you to the right page.

Why don't you show before-and-after photos or reviews?

Because for a physician-led clinic they aren't allowed the way most websites use them, and for prescription drugs they aren't allowed at all. We'd rather show you the rooms and talk about results in person.

Your information

Where do I fill in my medical history?

At the clinic, through our secure intake tool built for personal health information, or by a link we send after your consultation is booked. Never in the booking form, and never by email. The booking form asks only your name, contact details and whether you've had a consultation with us.

What does the booking system store?

Your name, email, mobile, the appointment, the provider, the deposit and your scheduling notes — for three years, as Ontario's personal-service regulation requires. Your clinical record is kept separately by the medical director. See the privacy policy.

Your visit

How should I prepare?

Laser and IPL: no sun, tanning beds or waxing for two weeks before, and come with the area shaved the day before. Peels and microneedling: no retinol or acids for five days before. Everything: arrive ten minutes early on your first visit for intake and consent. Specific preparation is confirmed at your consultation.

Is the clinic accessible?

Ground floor, step-free, an accessible washroom and parking at the door. Tell us in the scheduling notes if you need an interpreter or extra time.

Changes & cancellations

How do I reschedule?

Use the Manage my booking link in your booking email, or go to Manage my booking and enter your email and booking code. You can move your appointment yourself up to 48 hours before it starts, and your deposit moves with it.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel at least 48 hours ahead and we refund your deposit minus a $25 fee (to your card, or by e-Transfer if you paid that way). With less notice, or a missed appointment, it's kept. If a treatment turns out not to be suitable for you at your first session, everything is refunded in full.

Something came up on the day.

Please reply to your booking email or message us on WhatsApp as soon as you can. If you're unwell, tell us — some treatments shouldn't go ahead, and we'd rather move you than treat you.

Series & points

How do treatment series work?

A series is a course of one treatment — six laser sessions, three microneedling, four peels, eight LED — paid once for less than session by session. Book each session with your series code (it looks like AP-7K3QX). Valid for 12 months. Prescription treatments are never sold as a series.

Do I earn points?

Yes: 1 point for every dollar spent at completed appointments and on series. Every 200 points is $10 off a laser, light or skin treatment, taken at the clinic. Points never expire and aren't applied to prescription treatments.

Reminders & messages

Will I get a reminder?

Yes, by email and text the day before your appointment. For laser and skin courses we'll also email you when the next session is due. We never send marketing messages about prescription treatments, and we never ask for reviews.

How do I stop text messages?

Reply STOP to any of our texts. You'll still get emails about your booking.
